Any time of year is beautiful here unless you run into very bad luck with weather. Mean temp is 82 degrees and this is a very beautiful country surrounded by beautiful beaches and even in the mountains where we don’t have beaches we have beautiful rivers to bath in.
The expensive and high season is Christmas to Easter and every other US and Canadian Holiday because people flock to the country.

That being said Punta Cana has less to offer than other regions of the country. Other than beautiful beaches and all inclusive resorts there is nothing to do other than the cheesy overpriced tours. I like and live on the North Coast which is greener and richer. Most of the tourism where I live in Cabrera isn’t for everyone. High end villa rentals is the big thing going here where people spend upwards of 50,ooo dollars for a week in a mansion with tons of help and services.

You can get hotel rooms on the beach in Cabarete from 15 US dollars a night and 25 a night in Sosua. Dominican food is fabulous and I have it every day although when in Cabarete I eat French, Japanese, Italian and much more.

Try coming here and NOT staying in an all inclusive. You will have the time of your life.

This is a very safe place and the only ones who say it isn’t are the tour reps who try to intimidate you into staying on the property or buying their overpriced high commission tours.

ANYTIME! becuase the weather stays just about the same all year round… with some exceptions from May-August * cuz itz really hott… but it’s still niice because you’ll be in Punta Cana—->BUT if you mean money wise- avoid going around the major holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc., and you’ll save even more by not traveling in the summer. Since so many tourists go around that time of year, the airlines really raise the price…. but other then that you’ll be fine..
